The iconic heavy metal band's current touring line-up with Axl, now including Slash on lead guitar and Duff on bass again, also features Dizzy Reed on keyboards, who has stayed with Rose since 1990, along with two more recent sidemen, Richard Fortus on guitar and Frank Ferrer on drums, and a second keyboard player, Melissa Reese.
According to critics, Guns N’ Roses made only one game-changing album: its first one, “Appetite for Destruction,” in 1987. The band was already fracturing when it released a pair of uneven albums, “Use Your Illusion” I and II, in 1991. The next (and most recent) Guns N’ Roses studio album with original songs is “Chinese Democracy” released in 2008, made by Rose with several other sidemen.
The band's current two-and-a-half-hour set includes songs from all three decades of its catalog — including some, like “Estranged,” “Civil War” and “Patience” that take on new meanings when performed by the reunited band. Seven of the 12 songs on “Appetite for Destruction” are also in the set. In addition, “Double Talkin’ Jive,” a song credited to the band's only absent founder Izzy Stradlin, is in the set, as is hit ballad “November Rain” and the group's revived and tumultuous track from 1991 called "Coma".
